"I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers" - Anne of Green Gables

Hi there, Friend!

I know here in Florida, this year's fall equinox (which happens to be today) is really more of a state-of-mind... the temperature is still in the 80's here!

That being said, there are still lots of wonderful things for us Floridians to welcome this October!

We've taken the pleasure of compiling a few of those things for you in this blog post, including a free printable: Our October Garden Guide.

Simply click the link, download, and discover all the flowers, fresh veggies & herbs you can plant this October to ensure a fruitful harvest and beautiful colors in your planters!

In the current climate and the growing concerns with where our food comes from and what chemicals and preservatives we're being exposed to, growing fresh fruits & vegetables yourself and growing organic are always your best bets.

And if you by chance need someone to help you plant that wonderful garden, we'd be more than willing to give you a free quote!

Take a peek at what's to come this October!.

The Harvest Moon

The abundance of bright moonlight early in the evening gave natural aide to farmers and crews harvesting their summer-grown crops , giving this full moon cycle the name The Harvest Moon. Witness this unusually bright moon at its peak , which will be onMon., September 24 @ 10:52 P.M.

Out With The Old

Several yummy summer fruits & veggies will soon be off-season. These include most beans, the asian pear, cucumbers, pumpkins, squash, greens, sweet potatoes, tomatoes, herbs, and some watermelon. That means if you still find them fresh somewhere, pick them up while you still can! Overripe fruits & veggies still have what you need to replant, and some of these items, like pumpkin, are at prime time for planting. Enjoy these goodies while they're still fresh!

To make up for these tragic losses to our plates, both cabbage and broccoli are smack dab in the middle of harvest. They're going to be less expensive and just as tasty as ever.Get them while the gettin's good!

In With The New

Thanks to our climate here in the Sunshine State, there are lots of different items to plant this month. Read the list, take your pick, and get to planting...or heck, just hire us to do it!
